Destinasi Wisata Religi merupakan salah satu penggerak roda perekonomian di Kabupaten Gresik. Sebagai sebuah Kabupaten, Gresik memiliki objek wisata religi yang beragam, antara lain, Makam Sunan Giri, Makam Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Makam Sunan Prapen, Giri Kedaton, Makam Dewi Sekardadu, Makam Putri Cempo dan sebagainya. Sampai saat ini kondisi  objek-objek tersebut belum tertata secara optimal. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah aksesibilitas wisatawan menuju dan dari objek Wisata Religi Sunan Giri dan objek-objek wisata di sekitarnya belum terpetakan secara komprehensif. Kurangnya efektifitas aksesibilitas menuju objek wisata. Hal tersebut sangat dipengaruhi oleh konstelasi dan rute antar objek. Objek-objek yang ada juga belum bisa di akses oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat termasuk para lansia dan difabel. Potensi budaya lokal juga belum optimal untuk diekspresikan dalam kawasan objek tersebut untuk memperkuat karakter kearifan lokal Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara dan observasi lapangan serta kajian pustaka terkait. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk pengembangan Wisata Religi Kabupaten Gresik, diperlukan pemetaan aksesibilitas secara komprehensif, perencanaan sarana prasarana yang berbasis kearifan lokalDEVELOPMENT STUDY ON THE RELIGIOUS TOURISM AREAS OF GRESIK SUNAN GIRI TOMB BASED ON LOCAL WISDOM Religious Tourism Destinations are one of the drivers of the economy in Gresik Regency. Gresik Regency has various religious tourism objects, including the Tomb of Sunan Giri, the Tomb of Maulana Malik Ibrahim, and the Tomb of Sunan Prapen. Until now, the condition of these objects has not been optimally arranged. The accessibility of tourists to the Sunan Giri Religious Tourism object has not been managed as a whole. The condition of local economic activities supporting religious tourism is still partially occurring. The potential of local culture could be more optimal to be expressed in the object area to strengthen the character of local wisdom. For this reason, this study aims to find the concept of applying local wisdom in developing Religious Tourism of the Tomb of Sunan Giri Gresik. The technique used in this research is data collection through interviews, field observations, and related literature reviews. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The findings of this study are optimizing the use of the Andong as local transportation, increasing souvenirs and local snacks, and using local signage in the development of Religious Tourism of the Tomb of Sunan Giri Gresik.
