HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KEPATUHAN DIET DENGAN MUNCULNYA KOMPLIKASI PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE II DI PUSKESMAS TANJUNG HARAPAN KABUPATEN BENGKULU UTARA

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Kepatuhan dalam melakukan diet sangat penting karena dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien dan menurunkan angka morbilitas penyakit DM, sedangkan tidak patuhnya pasien menyebabkan tejadinya komplikasi akut dan kronik akhirnya memperberat kondisi penyakit bahkan bisa menimbulkan kematian. Masalah penelitian adalah masih adanya penderita diabetes mellitus tipeII yang mengalami komplikasi di Puskesmas Tanjung Harapan. Tujuan penelitian diketahui hubungan tingkat kepatuhan diet dengan munculnya komplikasi pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II di Puskesmas Tanjung HarapanMetode : Metode penelitian menggunakan desain Cross sectional study. Populasi sebanyak 45 orang dengan teknik total sampling dan sampel sebanyak 39 orang Analisis data yang digunakan univariat dan bivariate dengan uji chi-square test. Hasil : Hasil penelitian didapatkan  responden sebagian besar (64,4%) tidak patuh dalam melakukan kepatuhan diet dan sebagian besar (40,0%) mengalami komplikasi diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di Puskesmas Tanjung Harapan. Hasil uji statistic didapatkan p 0,013 (p< 0,05).Simpulan : Simpulan ada hubungan tingkat kepatuhan diet dengan munculnya komplikasi pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di Puskesmas Tanjung Harapan. Disarankan kepada perawat untuk terus memberikan edukasi tentang diabetes mellitus tipe 2 setiap program dan menyediakan brosur untuk dibagikan setiap pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2.Kata Kunci : Diabetes Mellitus, Kepatuhan Diet, Komplikasi ABSTRACT Background : Compliance with diet is very important because it can improve the patient's quality of life and reduce the morbidity of DM, while non-adherence to the patient causes acute and chronic complications, which in turn aggravates the disease condition and can even lead to death. The research problem is that there are still type II diabetes mellitus sufferers who experience complications at the Tanjung Harapan Health Center. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the level of dietary compliance with the emergence of complications in patients with type II diabetes mellitus at the Tanjung Harapan Health Center. Methods : The research method uses a cross sectional study design. The population as many as 45 people with a total sampling technique and a sample of 39 people. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate with the chi-square test.Results : The results showed that most of the respondents (64.4%) did not comply with diet compliance and most (40.0%) experienced complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Tanjung Harapan Health Center. The statistical test results obtained p 0.013 (p < 0.05).Conclusion : The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the level of dietary compliance with the emergence of complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Tanjung Harapan Health Center. It is recommended for nurses to continue to provide education about type 2 diabetes mellitus in each program and provide brochures to be distributed to each type 2 diabetes mellitus patient.Keywords : Diabetes Mellitus, Diet Compliance, Complications
