<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Tujuan studi ini untuk mengidentifikasi akibat hukum yang timbul jika melangsungkan perkawinan beda agama khususnya antara muslim dengan non muslim di ranah Hukum Islam. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan komparatif. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa akibat hukum yang timbul apabila terjadinya perkawinan antara muslim dengan non muslim menurut hukum Islam yaitu status perkawinan tersebut tidak sah (dalam Pasal 40 KHI dan Pasal 44 KHI) dan karena perkawinan itu, maka anak yang hadir dalam pasangan tersebut pun dianggap anak tak sah/anak luar kawin yang juga berdampak pada hubungan perdata sang anak dengan ayahnya. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to identify the legal consequences that arise if interfaith marriages are held, especially between Muslims and non-Muslims in the realm of Islamic law. This study uses normative legal research methods with statutory and comparative approaches. The results of the study show that the legal consequences that arise when a marriage between a Muslim and a non-Muslim occurs according to Islamic law is that the marital status is invalid (in Article 40 KHI and Article 44 KHI) and because of the marriage, the children present in the couple are also considered children illegitimate/out of wedlock child which also has an impact on the child's civil relationship with his father.
