This research article examines the roles and challenges women face in the leadership of Islamic educational institutions through literature review methods. The literature review method is used to collect data from articles, journals, and books related to women's leadership in the context of Islamic education. The results of the study show that women's leadership in Islamic educational institutions has a significant role in the development of Islamic educational institutions as a whole. Women leaders are able to bring about changes in how institutions are managed, improve the quality of education, and develop innovations in teaching methods. In addition, women's leadership is also able to set an example and motivation for students and staff. However, women's leadership in Islamic educational institutions is still faced with a number of challenges, including gender discrimination, social stereotypes, and traditional roles applied in society. In conclusion, this article shows that women’s leadership has an important role in the development of Islamic educational institutions, but what. However, what needs to be examined is the expertise possessed by the man or woman who wants to be a leader. Of course, a leader must be skilled, competent, and professional or have qualified abilities in the field of leadership and manageria management.
