<![CDATA[AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kebutuhan dalam merancang media pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan sistem periodik unsur dalam bentuk  flashcard. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara terstruktur kepada 3 orang guru kimia dan pengisian angket oleh 58 orang peserta didik kelas XI SMA yang telah mendapatkan materi sistem periodik unsur. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan dengan memfokuskan pada aspek 1) media yang digunakan pada materi Sistem Periodik Unusr, 2) kendala yang ditemui dalam penggunaan media, dan 3) tanggapan mengenai medi flashcard. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) selama ini media pembelajaran yang digunakan pada materi Sistem periodik unusr adalah buku teks kimia SMA, slide power point, dan tabel periodik unsur; 2) kendala penggunaan buku teks kimia SMA adalah hanya bisa dipakai di sekolah saat mata pelajaran belangsung, karena jumlah buku teks kimia SMA terbatas untuk dapat dipinjamkan kepada peserta didik, kendala penggunaan slide ppt adalah memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama untuk mempersiapkan perangkat penunjang seperti infokus dan laptop, kendala penggunaan tabel periodik unsur adalah peserta didik tidak termotivasi untuk berperan aktif, karena semua informasi sudah tersedia pada tabel; 3) adapun tanggapan guru mengenai pengembangan flashcard sistem periodik unsur adalah sangat setuju untuk digunakan dalam materi sistem periodik unsur, sedangkan tanggapan peserta didik 68,2% berasumsi pembelajaran akan menyenangkan, 17,2% menganggap akan terasa seperti biasa saja, dan 19% menilai akan terasa membosankan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat direkomendasikan untuk pengembangan flashcard untuk digunakan pada materi sistem periodik unsur di kelas X SMA.Kata kunci: flashcard,sistem periodik unsur,studi pendahuluan AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the need to design learning media on the subject of the periodic system of elements in the form of flashcards. The research was conducted through a qualitative descriptive method by conducting structured interviews with 3 chemistry teachers and filling out questionnaires by 58 students of class XI SMA who had received material on the periodic system of elements. The needs analysis was carried out by focusing on 1) the media used in the Periodic System of Elements material, 2) the obstacles encountered in the use of media, and 3) responses regarding flashcard media. The results of the study show that 1) so far the learning media used in the material for the periodic table of elements are high school chemistry textbooks, power point slides, and the periodic table of elements; 2) the problem with using high school chemistry textbooks is that they can only be used in schools when the subject is in progress, because the number of high school chemistry textbooks is limited to be loaned to students, the problem with using ppt slides is that it takes quite a long time to prepare supporting devices such as infocus and laptops, the problem with using the periodic table of elements is that students are not motivated to play an active role, because all information is already available in the table; 3) the teacher's response regarding the development of the elemental periodic system flashcard was very agreeable to be used in the elemental periodic system material, while the students' responses were 68.2% assumed learning would be fun, 17.2% thought it would feel normal, and 19% rated it will be boring. Based on the results of the research, it can be recommended for the development of flashcards to be used in the material for the periodic system of elements in class X SMA.Keyword: flashcard,periodic system of elements,preliminary study]]>
