PENGARUH NILAI INDEKS PRESTASI KUMULATIF (IPK) TERHADAP NILAI UJIAN KOMPREHENSIF MAHASISWA SEJARAH FKIP UNSYIAH

ABSTRACTSyiah Kuala University (UNSYIAH) is one of the existing universities in Aceh, adhering to its mission vision to improve the quality of human resources. Comprehensive examination must be followed by all students of History as a pre-requisite in order to follow the thesis trial. Based on a survey conducted by researchers, many students of History Education who took the comprehensive exam have not passed and they must follow the re-examination. From the document data received, approximately 50-60% of students who have not passed the comprehensive examination with the specified standard of graduation is 60. The inclusion is suspected due to the influence of GPA (Grade Point Average). This study aims to determine the effect of Grade Point Average (GPA) on the comprehensive examination value of students of History Education FKIP UNSYIAH. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach using descriptive method. Data collection techniques used is to collect documents or documentation, while data analysis techniques by using statistical analysis with first tested the normality of data and linearity of data and data analysis is done by using SPSS for windows 15. The results showed that the degree of relationship between grade point average (GPA) with the value of comprehensive examination of students FKIP UNSYIAH 13.5% with a positive relationship, and from these results can be concluded that the hypothesis that there is a significant relationship between GPA with the value of comprehensive examination of students FKIP UNYIAH accepted the truth. Keywords: Comulative achievent index (GPA), comprehensive exam     ABSTRAKUniversitas Syiah Kuala (UNSYIAH) adalah salah satu perguruan tinggi yang ada di Aceh, berpegang pada visi misinya yaitu untuk meningkatkan sumber daya manusia yang lebih berkualitas. Ujian komprehensif wajib diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa Sejarah sebagai pra syarat agar dapat mengikuti sidang skripsi. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan peneliti, banyak mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah yang ikut ujian komprehensif belum lulus serta mereka wajib mengikuti kembali ujian ulang. Dari data dokumen yang diterima, sebanyak kurang lebih 50-60% mahasiwa yang belum lulus ujian komprehensif dengan standar kelulusan yang ditetapkan yaitu 60. Ketidaklulusan ini diduga karena pengaruh Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui pengaruh Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) terhadap nilai ujian komprehensif mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah FKIP UNSYIAH. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan mengumpulkan dokumen atau dokumentasi, sementara teknik analisis data dengan cara menggunakan analisis statistik dengan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji normalitas data dan linearitas data serta analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS for windows 15. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa derajat hubungan antara Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) dengan nilai ujian komprehensif mahasiswa FKIP UNSYIAH sebesar 13,5% dengan hubungan positif, dan dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara IPK dengan nilai ujian komprehensif mahasiswa FKIP UNYIAH diterima kebenarannya.Kata kunci: Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK), Ujian Komprehensif
