Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran project based learning dan inquiry terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa pada materi fungsi kuadrat kelas IX SMP Negeri 12 Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi experiment dengen populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa atau peserta didik kelas IX SMP Negeri 12 Medan T.A 2022/2023.Sampel penelitian kelas eksperimen di IX-1 dan kelas kontrol di IX-2. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, diperoleh nilai rata-rata post test kelas eksperimen (perlakuan model pembelajaran project based learning) sebesar 72,76 dan nilai rata-rata post test kelas kontrol (perlakuan model inquiry) sebesar 43,9. Dari hasil uji analisis data, hasil data pretest dan post test dalam kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol menyatakan sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Dan kemudian dari hasil perhitungan nilai N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa model project based learning cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Pada hasil uji t sampel independen ditunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan model pembelajaran project based learning pada materi fungsi kuadrat terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas IX UPT SMP Negeri 12 Medan T.A 2022/2023. This study aims to determine the effect of project-based learning and inquiry learning models on students' numeracy literacy skills in the quadratic function material for class IX at SMP Negeri 12 Medan. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with the research population, namely all students or students in class IX of SMP Negeri 12 Medan T.A 2022/2023. The research sample is the experimental class at IX-1 and the control class at IX-2. After conducting the research, the average post test score for the experimental class (project based learning model treatment) was 72.76 and the average post test score for the control class (inquiry model treatment) was 43.9. From the results of the data analysis test, the results of the pretest and posttest data in the experimental class and control class stated that the samples were normally distributed and homogeneous. And then the results of calculating the N-Gain value show that the project based learning model is quite effective in improving students' numeracy literacy skills. The results of the independent sample t test showed that there was a significant difference in the project based learning model in quadratic function material on the numeracy literacy abilities of class IX UPT SMP Negeri 12 Medan FY 2022/2023.
