The authentic assessment of Biology learning in the Merdeka Curriculum is a relatively new assessment. Authentic assessment in the Merdeka curriculum has three domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Authentic assessment of Biology learning in the Merdeka Curriculum has been implemented in Public High Schools throughout Batang Regency, but this has not been implemented optimally. This is due to the teacher's lack of understanding of the assessment that is being carried out. Research aims; 1) to find out the implementation of authentic Biology learning assessments in the Merdeka Curriculum in Public High Schools throughout Batang Regency. 2) to find out the obstacles that occur when implementing authentic Biology learning assessments in the Merdeka Curriculum in Public High Schools throughout Batang Regency. The method used is qualitative with descriptive analysis. The sampling technique is a purposive sampling technique. The subjects of the research were Biology teachers in State Senior High Schools in Batang Regency totaling 6 teachers through questionnaires and interviews while students took questionnaires. Data analysis used descriptive analysis consisting of reduction, data display, and verification. This research resulted in the finding that the implementation of authentic assessments in public high schools throughout Batang Regency received a very good category. In addition, the obstacles that occur when implementing authentic assessments of Biology learning in the Merdeka Curriculum in Public High Schools throughout Batang Regency are the many aspects that must be assessed together with learning, inadequate infrastructure in schools, and the heterogeneous conditions of students from various aspects.
