Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to recognize number symbols through audio-visual learning media in children aged 4-5 years at Herlina Tikatukang State Kindergarten, Adonara District, East Flores Regency. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects in this study were 11 children. Methods of data collection in the form of observation and documentation. The instrument used is an observation sheet in the form of a checklist. Data analysis techniques use qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The results of observations before the action showed that children who had the ability to recognize number symbols in cycle I was 52.27%, increasing to 89.33% in cycle II and having achieved a success indicator of 80%. Based on these results it can be concluded that audio-visual learning media can improve the ability to recognize number symbols at the age of 4-5 years at TK Herlina Tikatukang  Adonara District, East Flores Regency. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan melalui media pembelajaran audio visual pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Negeri Herlina Tikatukang Kecamatan Adonara Kabupaten Flores Timur. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 11 anak. Metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi yang berbentuk checklist. Teknik Analisis data menggunakan Deskriptif Kualitatif dan Deskriptif Kuantitatif. Hasil observasi sebelum tindakan menunjukkan bahwa anak yang memiliki kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan pada siklus I adalah 52,27% meningkat menjadi 91,66% pada siklus II dan telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yaitu 80%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran audio visual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan pada usia 4-5 tahun di TK Negeri Herlina Tikatukang Kecamatan Adonara Kabupaten Flores Timur.
