Pengaruh Jus Bit Merah (Beta Vulgaris L.) Terhadap Pencegahan Anemia Pada Ibu Hamil di Desa Paya Cut Kecamatan Peusangan

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) mendefinisikan anemia kehamilan sebagai kadar hemoglobin kurang dari 11gr atau kurang dari 33% pada setiap waktu pada kehamilan yang mempertimbangkan hemodilusi yang normal terjadi dalam kehamilan dimana kadar hemoglobin kurang dari 11 gr pada trimester pertama. Di Indonesia diperkirakan setiap harinya terjadi 41 kasus anemia, dan 20 perempuan meninggal dunia karena kondisi tersebut. Tingginya angka ini disebabkan oleh rendah pengetahuan dan kesadaran akan bahaya anemia dalam kehamilan cenderung muncul pada kehamilan Trimester 1 dan III. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam pengetahuan ibu tentang manfaat buah bit merah untuk mencegah anemia pada ibu hamil. Hasil penelitian ini disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif naratif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ibu hamil yang diwawancarai (sehat) dan bersedia menjadi partisipan. Pemilihan partisipan dilakukan secara total sampling. Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah minimal 14 partisipan. Peneliti menggunakan pedoman wawancara. Dari hasil temuan Hb pada ibu, didapatkan semua ibu hamil mengalami anemia ringan dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 10,6 gram/dl. Selanjutnya peneliti langsung memberikan ibu hamil jus bit merah selama 7 hari berturutturut. Setelah pemaparan selesai dilakukan, peneliti melakukan cek ulang Hb pada ibu hamil tersebut, dan rata-rata kenaikan Hb pada ibu hamil setelah diberikan paparan yaitu: 11,8 gram/dl.Kata Kunci: Anemia pada ibu, Jus Bit Merah (Beta Vulgaris L.)The World Health Organization (WHO) defines anemia of pregnancy as a hemoglobin level of less than 11 grams or less than 33% at any time in pregnancy which takes into account hemodilution which normally occurs in pregnancy where the hemoglobin level is less than 11 grams in the first trimester. The research design used is qualitative research with a case study approach. This research intends to explore in depth mothers' knowledge about the benefits of red beets for preventing anemia in pregnant women. The results of this research are presented in descriptive narrative form. Participants in this research were pregnant women who were interviewed (healthy) and willing to become participants. The selection of participants was carried out by total sampling. The minimum number of participants in this research was 14 participants. Researchers used interview guidelines. From the results of Hb findings in mothers, it was found that all pregnant women experienced mild anemia with an average value of 10.6 grams/dl. Next, the researchers immediately gave pregnant women red beet juice for 7 consecutive days. After the exposure was completed, the researchers re-checked the Hb in the pregnant women, and the average increase in Hb in pregnant women after the exposure was: 11.8 grams/dl.Keywords: Maternal anemia, Red Beet Juice (Beta Vulgaris L.)
