The background of toddlers experiencing stunting indicates chronic poor health conditions, which can be dangerous if not treated (Indonesian Ministry of Health Data and Information Center, 2018). Indonesia is a country with a fairly high prevalence of stunting compared to other middle-income countries. Data from the NTT Provincial Health Service for 2022 experienced an increase of 1.1 percent from 2021, namely 20.9 percent. Data on the stunting rate in 2022, which rose to 22.0, was released by the NTT Working Group (Pokja) for handling stunting as of March 18 2022. One of the areas with the highest prevalence is Kupang Regency with a proportion of 41.4% or 5,390 children under five. The number of toddlers in the Tarus health center is 5141 people, 548 stunted children, and 122 stunted children in East Penfui village (Tarus PKM Data, 2022). The aim is to find out the knowledge of posyandu cadres in handling stunting in East Penfui village, the Tarus Health Center working area, Kupang Regency. The method used is descriptive which describes the characteristics of a population/phenomenon that is the object of research. Researchers want to know the understanding of posyandu cadres about preventing stunting in children. The research subjects were all posyandu cadres in East Penfui Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency.
