<![CDATA[Breast milk is the best and main food for the growth and development of a baby until 6 months old. The results of a global study prove that exclusive breastfeeding reduces deaths due to infection by 88% in infants aged less than 3 months. To increase the use of exclusive breastfeeding, acquainting oneself with the concept of early initiation of breastfeeding (EIBF) is necessary. It is considered to have a broad impact on the nutritional status and health of toddlers. The purposes of this community service are to increase the knowledge and understanding of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding, EIBF, breastfeeding techniques, and practical breastfeeding in an effort to increase the use of exclusive breastfeeding. The method used was giving education through the lecture method, discussions, demonstrations, and radio broadcasts. This activity targeted pregnant women in their third trimester in Singkawang City.The results of this society's devotion were an average improvement in mothers’ knowledge of Exclusive Breastfeeding from 69.67 to 88.67 after the implementation of the activity, as well as the mother’s interest in implementing IMD and giving Exclusive Breastfeeding. Therefore, it is expected to increase the achievement of the Exclusive Breastfeeding program.]]>
