Abstract

The problem of this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes of students in spatial construction material. This research aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes in building materials using the Contextual Teaching and Leaning (CTL) method for class IV students at SD Negeri 1 Gombang for the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is Classroom Action Research which consists of two cycles with 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were 9 class IV students. Data collection was carried out using the test method. The data collection instrument used was an evaluation sheet. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis to analyze student learning outcomes. The results of the analysis carried out showed an increase in student learning outcomes which could be seen from the average, namely in the initial condition it was 66.00, cycle 1 was 68.8, up to cycle 2 it was 79.4. Meanwhile, student completion also experienced an increase in the initial condition of students who had met the KKM ≥ 65. The pre- cycle percentage was 44.5%, cycle 1 was 66.7%, and cycle 2 was 88.9%. It can be concluded that the results of learning Mathematics in spatial building material can be improved using the Contextual Teaching and Leaning (CTL) Method for Class IV Students at SD Negeri 1 Gombang Cawas Klaten for the 2021/2022 Academic Year.
