<![CDATA[This study aims to describe how teachers apply thematic learning starting from planning, implementation and assessment encountered by grade 2 teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Kab. Morotai Island in applying thematic learning. In the application of thematic learning in grade 2 MIN 2, Morotai Island Regency, based on the results of the study, the 2013 curriculum has been used and where it has been running well, this can be proven by the teacher always planning before teaching, the teacher always prepares and uses media during learning, the teacher also uses a variety of methods so that students do not feel bored. This research was conducted in grade 2 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2, Morotai Island Regency. The type of research using descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of this study include: (1) The findings of researchers in grade 2 MIN 2 Kabupaten Pulau Morotai the teacher has implemented the three learning activities. In learning according to process standards, namely the implementation of learning which includes preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities. (2) Based on the results of the interview, the teacher explains that the assessment in learning uses authentic assessment and includes attitude assessment, knowledge assessment and skills assessment. (3) In the learning process this is due to the uneven ability of students, the learning books have not been fulfilled. Creative and innovative teachers in responding to these obstacles, teachers find appropriate learning books themselves and download them on the internet.]]>
