<![CDATA[AbstrakStem cell (Sel punca) merupakan sel yang belum terspesialisasi dan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dengan sel tubuh lainnya. Salah satu karakteristik dasar yang dimiliki oleh sel punca adalah tidak mempunyai struktur jaringan yang spesifik untuk melakukan fungsi tertentu. Berdasarkan potensinya, sel punca selain mampu memperbanyak diri juga mempunyai kemampuan untuk membentuk sel yang terspesialisasi. Keunikan dari karakteristik sel punca ini memberikan harapan baru untuk mengobati penyakit terutama penyakit degeneratif. One of the basic characteristics possessed by Stem cell is not having a specific structure to perform specific functions. Based on these abilities, Stem cells besides being able to reproduce themselves, stem cells also have the ability to form specialized cells.
