<![CDATA[AbstractThis journal examines the problems faced by the people of the South Bontolangkasa village, Bontonompo District, Gowa Regency in the issue of the direction of the Qibla of the house. The direction of Qibla is very important to know because it greatly affects the quality of worship (acceptance of prayer or not) as well as being a benchmark in knowing the position of the toilet in the house. The results of research written by researchers where the majority of the people of South Bontolangkasa village still do not understand about the actual position of the Qibla direction. The intended Qibla direction is based on the direction of the house building only. In determining the Qibla direction of community houses, two methods are used, including the Qibla arc and Google Earth. This research is classified as field research, with a sociological and syar'i research approach. By collecting data through interviews and documentation as well as from books, journals, theses, and the internet. Keywords: House, Qibla Direction, ProblemsAbstrakJurnal ini mengkaji tentang problematika yang dihadapi masyarakat desa Bontolangkasa Selatan Kecamatan Bontonompo Kabupaten Gowa dalam persoalan arah kiblat rumah. Arah kiblat sangat penting untuk diketahui karena sangat mempengaruhi kualitas ibadah (diterima atau tidaknya salat) serta menjadi patokan dalam mengetahui posisi toilet yang berada di dalam rumah. Adapun hasil penelitian yang ditulis oleh peneliti dimana masyarakat desa Bontolangkasa Selatan Sebagian besar masih kurang paham mengenai posisi arah kiblat yang sebenarnya. Arah kiblat yang dituju hanya berpatokan pada arah bangunan rumah saja. Dalam menentukan arah kiblat rumah masyarakat, digunakan dua metode diantaranya menggunakan busur kiblat dan google earth. Penelitian ini tergolong dalam penelitian lapangan (field research), dengan pendekatan penelitian sosiologis dan syar’i.
