<![CDATA[ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to analyze social behavior based on the exchange theory proposed by George Caspar Homans that occurs in the world of education, which is more precisely in this article at MI Darul Ulum. In this study, researchers used descriptive qualitative research through observation and interviews. The location of this research was conducted in MI Darul Ulum, Jetis sub-district, Mojokerto district. The result of this study is that in the learning process there is also social behavior in accordance with the theory put forward by George Caspar Homans in which people will interact with each other if they benefit from the interactions they do. In this study, the observed behavior is the impact of giving rewards in the learning process. Rewards are given in the form of verbal and non-verbal. In other lessons, students become less enthusiastic because in the learning process, educators do not give rewards or appreciation for what students do. However, in subjects where educators like to give rewards, students are more enthusiastic to do what the educators ask and the classroom atmosphere becomes more conducive and easy to manage. The student's behavior is in line with the exchange theory where he continues to be enthusiastic about learning because he has a goal to get gifts in the form of words or gifts in the form of material. Keywords: Reward, Learning, Theory George Caspar Homans ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perilaku sosial berdasarkan teori pertukaran yang di kemukakan oleh George Caspar Homans yang terjadi di dunia pendidikan yaitu lebih tepatnya dalam artikel ini di MI Darul Ulum. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif melalui metode observasi dan wawancara. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di MI Darul Ulum kecamatan Jetis kabupaten Mojokerto. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dalam proses pembelajaran ternyata juga terdapat perilaku sosial sesuai dengan teori yang dikemukakan oleh George Caspar Homans yang mana orang akan melakukan interaksi dengan sesamanya jika ia memperoleh keuntungan dari interaksi yang dilakukannya tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini perilaku yang diamati yaitu dampak dari pemberian reward dalam proses pembelajaran. Reward yang diberikan dalam bentuk verbal maupun non verbal. Pada pelajaran lain siswa menjadi kurang antusias karena dalam proses pembelajaran tersebut pendidik kurang memberikan reward atau apresiasi atas apa yang dilakukan peserta didik. Namun, pada mata pelajaran yang pendidiknya suka meberikan reward peserta didik lebih terlihat antusias untuk melakukan apa yang pendidik perintahkan serta suasana kelas menjadi lebih kondusif dan mudah untuk diatur. Perilaku siswa tersebut sejalan dengan teori pertukaran yang mana ia terus bersemangat mengikuti pembelajaran karena ia memiliki tujuan untuk mendapatkan hadiah berupa ucapan atau hadiah berupa materi.
