ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir ktitis siswa pada materi hubungan saling ketergantungan antar komponen biotik-abiotik dapat memengaruhi kestabilan suatu ekosistem di lingkungan sekitarnya seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri Karangjongkeng 01 tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdapat 1 kelas eksperimen yaitu V sebanyak 20 siswa Dalam penelitian ini sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, desain penelitiannya adalah PTK Model Mc Taggart. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan soal-soal tes uraian dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis lebih efektif dibandingkan penggunaan model konvensional pada materi hubungan saling ketergantungan antar komponen biotik-abiotik dapat memengaruhi kestabilan suatu ekosistem di lingkungan sekitarnya. Kata kunci: Berpikir kritis, Problem Based Learning APPLICATION OF THE PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE SCIENCE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN GRADE V STUDENTS OF SD NEGERI KARANGJONGKENG 01 ABSTRACT his research aims to obtain information regarding the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students' critical thinking abilities in the material of the interdependence relationship between biotic-abiotic components which can influence the stability of an ecosystem in the surrounding environment for all class V students at SD Negeri Karangjongkeng 01 for the 2022 academic year. /2023. The sample in this study was 1 experimental class, namely V, with 20 students. In this study, the sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, the research design was the Mc Taggart PTK Model. The research instrument used descriptive test questions and questionnaires. The results of the research show that the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model for critical thinking skills is more effective than the use of conventional models on the subject of interdependent relationships between biotic-abiotic components which can influence the stability of an ecosystem in the surrounding environment.
