Knowledge level of patient about the impact of tooth loss at Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya Padang City: Tingkat pengetahuan pasien tentang dampak kehilangan gigi di Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya Kota Padang

Knowledge of the impact of tooth loss is the ignorance of the community due to the cumulative effect of oral disease factors such as cavities and periodontal disease is the cause of tooth loss. Tooth loss is caused by disease factors such as caries and perio-dontal disease. Non-disease factors such as lifestyle and sociodemographic factors such as age, gender, education level also affect tooth loss. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of patient knowledge about the impact of tooth loss at Pus-kesmas Lubuk Buaya Padang City. The study was descriptive in nature with the population being patients of Puskesmas Lu-buk Buaya who visited the Dental Clinic as many as 77 samples with accidental sampling technique. Data were collected from the results of the questionnaire. The results showed that the highest level of knowledge was poor at 54 people (70.1%), good at 4 people (5.2%), and moderate at 19 people (24.7%). It was concluded that the level of knowledge of patients about the impact of tooth loss at Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya Padang City was mostly poor.
