ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnyakesantunan berbahasa Indonesia lisan dan tulisan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kesantunan berbahasa lisan dan tulisan siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan media digital story telling berbasis kearifan likal dan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan media yang biasa dilakukan guru setelah diberi perlakuan (posttest), serta untuk meningkatkan kesantunan berbahasa indonesia lisan dan tulisan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu dengan teknik Nonequvalent Pretest – Posttest Control Group Design. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest berupa 20 soal pilihan ganda. Proses analisis data antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Analisis data uji-t posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, data tersebut menunjukkan adanya pengaruh terhadap kesantunan berbahasa Indonesia lisan dan tulisan siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol setelah perlakuan. Selain itu juga terdapat pengaruh peningkatan (gain) kesantunan berbahasa Indonesia lisan dan tulisan siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kesantunan berbahasa Indonesia lisan dan tulisan siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. APPLICATION OF LOCAL WISDOM-BASED DIGITAL STORY TELLING MEDIA IN IMPROVING POLITINESS IN ORAL AND WRITTEN INDONESIAN ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low level of politeness in spoken and written Indonesian. This research aims to determine the difference in improving students' spoken and written politeness between the experimental class which applies digital story telling media based on local wisdom and the control class which applies media which is usually used by teachers after being given treatment (posttest), as well as to improve politeness in spoken Indonesian and writing between the control class and the experimental class. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method with the Nonequvalent Pretest – Posttest Control Group Design technique. Research data was obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest in the form of 20 multiple choice questions. Data analysis process between the experimental class and the control class. Analysis of posttest t-test data in the experimental class and control class showed that the sig (2-tailed) value was 0.000 < 0.05, this data shows that there was an influence on students' spoken and written Indonesian politeness between the experimental class and the control class after treatment. Apart from that, there was also the effect of increasing (gain) politeness in students' spoken and written Indonesian between the experimental class and the control class. This shows that there is an increase in students' spoken and written Indonesian language politeness between the experimental class and the control class.
