This study analyzes the social environmental factors and social support that play a role in cases of parenticide by offspring, using a socio-criminology approach. Such cases often raise questions about the factors influencing extreme criminal behavior within the context of intra-family relationships. The aim of this research is to understand how social environmental factors, such as culture, norms, values, and social interactions, contribute to cases of parenticide by offspring in Desa Rias, Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. The first main research question explores how these social environmental factors affect individuals' perceptions and attitudes towards norms and values related to intra-family relationships. The second main research question directs the analysis towards personal factors underlying intra-family killings, including individuals' backgrounds, life histories, and psychological characteristics. The research methodology employed involves literature review and document analysis, incorporating literature from criminology, sociology, and psychology to build a comprehensive analytical framework. The findings of this research are expected to provide deeper insights into the complexity of factors influencing cases of intra-family killings and their implications for developing prevention and intervention strategies for criminal activities in society.
