<![CDATA[This research aims to find out the role of firefighters in dealing with fire prevention. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method using role theory according to Soerjono Soekanto. Researchers collected data through interviews, documentation, and observation. The results of the research show that the factors obstructing firefighters in carrying out their roles are Facilities and infrastructure are still limited and personal safety equipment for officers in dealing with fire disasters. This has a clear influence on the performance of firefighters who are required to be maximal in every extinguishing effort which has a wider impact, namely Regional Development itself, therefore it is very necessary to improve more adequate and more professional facilities and infrastructure and human resources as well as conducting outreach to the community to raise awareness and knowledge of the dangers of greatness.]]>
