Abstract

This research aimed to develop teaching materials in the form of appreciation of contemporary poetry worksheets based on Suchman models for high school students of class XII. In the model, there are five steps of learning. This research method used techniques of qualitative and quantitative data analysis, through research and development Borg and Gall. The results of the analysis of students and teachers to the development of teaching materials in teaching appreciation of contemporary poetry in three (3) high school in Pesawaran, shows that students have sufficient interest, on teachers indicated that the teaching materials need to be developed. Based on the identification of material development strategy, it is feasible by combining the strengths and weaknesses of learning of the opportunities and threats (SWOT analysis).Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa LKS apresiasi puisi kontemporer berbasis model Suchman untuk siswa kelas XII SMA. Dalam model Suchman terdapat lima langkah pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif, melalui modifikasi penelitian pengembangan Borg dan Gall. Hasil analisis kebutuhan siswa dan guru terhadap pengembangan bahan ajar pembelajaran apresiasi puisi kontemporer pada 3 (tiga) sekolah SMA di Pesawaran, menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki minat yang cukup, pada guru menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar sangat perlu dikembangkan. Berdasarkan identifikasi strategi pengembangan bahan ajar yang layak dilakukan dengan mengkombinasikan kekuatan dan kelemahan pembelajaran terhadap peluang dan ancaman (analisis SWOT).Kata kunci: bahan ajar, lembar kegiatan siswa, model suchman.
