<![CDATA[Tuberculosis in Indonesia is one of the most common diseases, although Indonesia still has a high rate of pulmonary TB. Lack of awareness of pulmonary TB sufferers and their families is one of the causes of the disease. The aim is to determine the relationship between knowledge and behavior to prevent transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis at the Sumurgung Community Health Center, Palang District. Collaborative analytic research design with a cross-sectional approach. The research population of all families of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in 2022 at the Sumurgung Community Health Center was 51 people. The sampling technique used is total sampling. The sample from this study was 51 families of pulmonary tuberculosis patients. Independent variable is family knowledge, dependent variable is family behavior in preventing pulmonary tuberculosis. How to collect data with a questionnaire, using the "Chi-Square" correlation test. The results of this study indicated that almost half (33%) had poor knowledge of transmission, poor prevention behavior, while a small proportion (14%) of families with good knowledge of transmission and good prevention behavior. From the results of the Chi-Square test, the P-Value = 0.715 where the P-Value > α (0.05) so that it can be concluded that there is no relationship between family knowledge and pulmonary tuberculosis prevention behavior at the Sumurgung Health Center. Efforts to reduce the rate of pulmonary tuberculosis, namely motivating families during treatment and good counseling for pulmonary tuberculosis patients in preventing wider transmission and increasing counseling, (health education), motivation and treatment services for health workers, especially in families with family members infected with tuberculosis Lungs.]]>
