Assessment of dental hygiene using synthetic disclosing solution in HI BOGI application for 10-12 year olds: a study descriptive Introduction: Plaque is a collection of microbes in the form of biofilms on the tooth surface that can affect the oral cavity system. The surge in digitalization during the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the development of "digital 4.0" to be felt in dentistry. Known as Teledentistry, one of them is the HI BOGI software, a technology that can support dental examinations and improve dental and oral health online. Methods: The research method used in this study was descriptive research. The subjects of this study were elementary school students in Cimahi City. The sample was 113 people, selected using cluster random sampling from three sub-districts in the Cimahi City region. Indicators and assessment standards for measuring dental and oral hygiene for this study were: Patient Hygiene Performance Index. Data analysis was conducted using univariate statistics in the form of frequency distribution. Results: The study's findings revealed that after examining the plaque index in 113 children, the average plaque index value was 0.478, which included the "good" criteria. Based on the Cimahi City District, the plaque index is 0.46 in the North Cimahi District, 0.63 in the Central Cimahi District, and 0.38 in the South Cimahi District. All districts of Cimahi City were included in the "good" category. Conclusion: The assessment of oral hygiene using synthetic disclosing solution in the HI BOGI application for elementary school students aged 10-12 years fall into the good category, with a plaque index of 0.478, which is considered good.
