Some students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mercu Buana University, Yogyakarta experience academic stress which results in decreased Academic Performance. This study aims to determine how much Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) contributes to the Academic Performance of students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mercu Buana University, Yogyakarta. This study uses a quantitative correlational research type. The subjects in this study were students with a total sample of 242. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression. The validity of the instrument used construct validity by expert validators and the item validity test used the product moment correlation formula. The reliability test used the Alpha Cronbach formula which resulted in 0.960 included in the high classification. The results of the study showed that the calculated t was greater than the t table, namely (0.266> 0.138) meaning that Ha was accepted, which means that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) has a positive and significant effect on students' Academic Performance. The results of the analysis show that the coefficient of determination r2 is 71%, which means that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) contributes to Academic Performance.
