<![CDATA[This research describes the choice of street names in the Sasi sub-district, Kefamenanu, North Central Timor, and East Nusa Tenggara. The leading theory used is ethnolinguistics. Data sources from documentation and interviews. The research data, namely the names of streets in the Sasi sub-district, totals 19 street names. Data collection was carried out using documentation/photo techniques and interviews. Coding and analysis used the Nvivo 12 application. Data validity analysis was carried out using triangulating theory and relevant sources. The results of the research found that 1.67% of street names were based on geographical conditions, 2.78% of street names were derived from languages from Timor, 3.96% of street names were taken from animal names, 5.48% of street names were based on plant names, and 5.48% were name data without meaning or only based on myth amounted to 0.62% Research on toponymy in Sasi Village, East Nusa Tenggara, in an ethnolinguistic context contributes to knowledge of street names and local culture. The follow-up plan is to develop a mobile application for tourist routes and introduce the history of street names to tourists and the younger generation.]]>
