ABSTRACT This research aims to evaluate the vital statistics of Bali cattle in Tohe Village, Raihat District, Belu Regency. Bali cattle have good reproductive performance and a high carcass percentage. This research used 75 male Bali cattle which were reared intensively and extensively. Cow body weight is measured through vital statistics measurements (body length, chest circumference and shoulder height). The results showed that male Bali cattle under intensive rearing had a higher body weight than cattle reared extensively, so this data was analyzed using an independent sample t test with SpSS 17.0 software to compare the average body weight of cattle reared using different rearing techniques. different. The results of the study showed that male Bali cattle that were kept intensively had a higher body weight with a weight of 345.57 ± 34.12 kg (P<0.05), compared to those that were kept extensively which had a lower body weight, namely amounted to 265.57 ± 29.32 kg (P<0.05). Body size in intensive rearing is higher than in extensive rearing systems, this is because the quality of the feed is better so it has a good influence on the growth of male Bali cattle productivity. Therefore, it can be concluded that an intensive rearing system can be applied to male Bali cattle to increase productivity, make them good seeds, and meet the protein needs of the Indonesian people.
