Suicide idetion in college students can increase the risk of suicide attempts and actions. Based on previous findings, suicide ideation can be influenced by stress factors in college students. Even so, not all college students who experience stress would develop suicide ideation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress and suicide ideation among college students in the city of Makassar. This research method uses correlational quantitative methods. The number of samples obtained by 370 students using accidental sampling technique. Data collection used instruments namely Student-Life Stress Inventory to measure stress and Revised-Suicide Ideation Scale to measure suicidal ideation in students. Data analysis in this study used the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that the hypothesis was accepted, namely that here was a very significant positive relationship between stress and suicidal ideation in college students in Makassar (r=0,564, p=0,000<0,01).
