Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of plyometric training on the perfor-mance of the football game kick off. This experimental study used a nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design. Twenty five participants in football extracurricular SMA Negeri 1Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi as the research sample were divided into a plyometric exercise group and conventional exercise group with matching ordinal pairing. The results showed that both plyometric exercises and conventional exercises have a significant influence on the performance of the football game kick off. But plyometric exercises give a better performance than conventional training to the football game kick off.Key words:    plyometric exercises, performance kicks off football games, extracurricular activities.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan pliometrik terhadap prestasi tendangan jauh permainan sepakbola. Rancangan penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan the nonrandomized control group pretest posttest design. Sampel pene-litian 25 orang peserta ekstrakurikuler sepakbola SMA Negeri 1 Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi yang dibagi menjadi kelompok latihan pliometrik dan kelompok latihan konvensional dengan teknik ordinal pairing matching. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latihan pliometrik dan latihan konvensional sama-sama memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap prestasi tendangan jauh permainan sepakbola. Namun latihan pliometrik memberikan pengaruh lebih baik daripada latihan konvensional terhadap prestasi tendangan jauh permainan sepakbola.Kata kunci:    latihan pliometrik, prestasi tendangan jauh permainan sepakbola, ekstrakurikuler.
