IMPLEMENTASI PLTS SISTEM OFF GRID SEBAGAI WUJUD MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN EFEKTIF PADA SISWA SMK CITRA HARAPAN KECAMATAN PERCUT SEI TUAN

Abstrak: Dalam upaya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai renewable energy, SMK Citra Harapan di Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan telah menjalankan program pengabdian. Fokusnya adalah memberikan edukasi langsung kepada siswa tentang renewable energy, terutama melalui pengenalan komponen dan instalasi PLTS sistem Off Grid. SMK Citra Harapan mengakui bahwa informasi elektronik belum sepenuhnya mampu mengimplementasikan ilmu yang disampaikan kepada siswa. Oleh karena itu, Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi melalui penggunaan modul trainer PLTS sistem Off Grid sebagai alat bantu media pembelajaran efektif. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa secara langsung. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan 20 siswa SMK Citra Harapan dengan menggunakan modul trainer PLTS sistem Off Grid. Untuk mengukur keberhasilan kegiatan, dilakukan angket dalam bentuk post-test. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini berhasil dengan baik, terlihat dari persentase siswa yang menyatakan setuju sebanyak 75%, cukup setuju 25%, dan tidak ada yang menyatakan kurang setuju atau sangat tidak setuju. Ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa terhadap renewable energy setelah mengikuti program ini.Abstract: In an effort to enhance students' understanding of renewable energy, SMK Citra Harapan in Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict has implemented a community service program. The focus is on providing direct education to students about renewable energy, particularly through the introduction of components and installation of Off-Grid PV systems. SMK Citra Harapan acknowledges that electronic information alone may not fully implement the knowledge conveyed to students. Therefore, this Community Partnership Program aims to provide education through the use of Off-Grid PV system trainer modules as an effective learning aid. This is expected to improve students' understanding directly. The method involves the participation of 20 students from SMK Citra Harapan using Off-Grid PV system trainer modules. To measure the success of the activity, a post-test questionnaire was conducted. The results show that this community service activity was successful, as indicated by the percentage of students who agreed being 75%, somewhat agreed 25%, with no one expressing disagreement or strong disagreement. This demonstrates a significant improvement in students' understanding of renewable energy after participating in this program.
