<![CDATA[Intisari. Musik nasyid merupakan sajian musik Islami yang pada awal kemunculannya di Indonesia disajikan dalam format acapella. Musik nasyid memiliki beragam fungsi, Terdapat tujuh fungsi berdasarkan fungsi musik Alan P. Merriam, di antaranya fungsi pengungkapan emosional, fungsi pengahyatan estetis, fungsi hiburan, fungsi komunikasi, fungsi perlambangan, fungsi berkaitan dengan norma sosial, dan fungsi pengintegrasian masyarakat. Saat ini, ketujuh fungsi tersebut melekat erat pada musik nasyid di masyarakat. Namun tidak menutup kemungkinan, fungsi musik nasyid di masa depan semakin bertambah, mengingat kemungkinan-kemungkinan penggunaan musik di masa depan bisa lebih kompleks dan lebih luas lagi daripada saat ini.Kata Kunci: musik nasyid, fungsi musik, alan p. meriam, musik Islami Abstract. Nasyid music is an Islamic music presentation that at the beginning of its appearance in Indonesia was presented in acapella format. There are seven functions based on Alan P.
