Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui literasi membaca dan faktor kendala dalam menumbuhkan sikap sosial siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 10 siswa, guru kelas dan kepala sekolah. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sekolah telah melakukan kegiatan literasi membaca untuk menumbuhkan sikap sosial siswa dengan kegiatan membaca buku sebelum memulai pembelajaran selama 15 menit dengan buku bacaan yang telah tersedia. sedangkan faktor kendala literasi membaca yaitu Kurangnya konsistensi waktu disebabkan oleh guru terlambat hadir ke sekolah, kemampuan membaca siswa yang berbeda-beda, keterbatasan ruang disebabkan tempat yang digunakan kurang efektif karena dihalaman sekolah tidak ada atapnya, jika musim hujan kegiatan literasi membaca tidak bisa dilaksanakan. Abstract: This study aims to determine reading literacy and constraining factors in fostering students' social attitudes. This research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects consisted of 10 students, the class teacher and the principal. Data validity test using source triangulation. Data analysis technique using interactive analysis technique. The results of this study can be concluded that schools have carried out reading literacy activities to foster students' social attitudes by reading books before starting learning for 15 minutes with reading books that have been available. while the obstacle factors of reading literacy are lack of time consistency caused by late teachers attending school, different students' reading abilities, limited space due to the place used is less effective because the school yard has no roof, if the rainy season reading literacy activities cannot be carried out.
