<![CDATA[Studying the Al-Qur’an is an obligation for every Muslim. Reading and writing the Al-Qur'an is a lesson that teaches us how to read and write the Al-Qur'an properly and correctly according to its rules. The ability to read and write the Koran is one of the main foundations for learning Islamic religious education in families, schools and in the community. This research uses a literature review. Literature study as a means of obtaining various scientific information to explain the various problems being studied. This literature study comes from various sources, including journals, books and supporting documents which can expand the study and repertoire in discussing problems and innovations in Al-Qur'an reading and writing education. As a result of this discussion, there are various problems and innovations that can be concluded, namely; Problems with Al-Qur'an reading and writing education are divided into 2 factors. The first factor, Internal Factors which include, lack of interest, lack of motivation, and lack of student understanding. Second, external factors, including parents, teachers, guidebooks, learning media, not having a good concept, implementation not following the concept, general education institutions, and the environment. There are also forms of Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing Educational Innovation including, management of students, management of Al-Qur'an teachers, material management, and method management.]]>
