A noble civilization is built through education that focuses on human development. Human development through education does not escape the philosophy behind an education system. Recently, the world of education has faced the storm of capitalism and liberalization of education, so that human development according to the nation's identity has experienced a shock that is quite pronounced. The purpose of this research is to reveal the philosophy of perenilism in education. This research method uses a qualitative method that presents a comprehensive data inventory analysis, categorization and inference. The results of this study reveal that perennialism in education is still very much needed in Indonesia, considering that it is very relevant to the ideological foundation of the country which holds tightly to noble values and culture as something that must be preserved.
