Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa Menggunakan Problem Based Learning Dengan Lesson Study

Abstract

This study aims to describe and improve students' critical thinking skills using Problem Based Learning with Lesson Study in the Descriptive Statistics course Indonesian Language Education Study Program STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. The method used is classroom action research, through lesson study which is carried out in three stages, namely, planning (Plane), implementation (Do) and reflection (See). Through improving students' critical thinking skills using Problem Based Learning with Lesson Study, it is expected to be able to explore and make students to be able to think critically and be more creative in ongoing learning. This can affect the value of students' critical thinking skills, in the first cycle an average of 63.5% is in the "enough" category, while in the second cycle an average of 88% is in the "good" category. This shows an increase in critical thinking skills in the second cycle, by 24.5%%, before being carried out. Thus it can be concluded that the PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model is able to improve students' critical thinking skills in the Descriptive Statistics course Indonesian Language Education study program.
