This research aims to describe social criticism and reveal the meaning of social criticism in the short stories in the short story collection Time to Not Marry by Amanatia Junda. This means that this research focuses on the phenomenon of social problems presented in short stories which contain portraits of social problems that are often found in social life using existing data and theories. This research was conducted using a literary sociology approach and descriptive methods with the research object being social criticism in the short story collection Time to Not Marry by Amanatia Junda. The data collection technique used in this research uses library study methods, reading and note-taking techniques. The literary theory used in this research is a literary sociology approach. The results of this research examine social problems that are closely related to the cultivation of social values and the formation of human personality. One of them is a form of violation of children's human rights, exploitative actions that create natural imbalances, strategies to gain power and gadgets that have a negative influence on human behavior. This problem is present in the short story Time to Not Get Married by Amanatia Junda to show that the gap between reality and people's expectations still exists in Indonesia.
