Hubungan Faktor Kecemasan Anak Terhadap Perawatan Gigi di Puskesmas Tangse Kecamatan Tangse Kabupaten Pidie

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Kecemasan merupakan respon emosional normal pada anak ketika dihadapkan hal-hal dianggap berbahaya. Kecemasan mempengaruhi perawatan gigi anak,  sehingga anak yang cemas cenderung memiliki kesehatan gigi lebih buruk. Obsevasi awal di puskesmas Tangse  pada 12  anak yang melakukan perawatan gigi, 9 anak mengalami kecemasan seperti menangis histeris dan melawan ketika dilakukan perawatan dan 3 anak mampu bersikap kooperatif sehingga perawatan gigi terlaksana. Tujuan penelitian: Untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor keluarga dan faktor alat perawatan gigi terhadap kecemasan anak pada perawatan gigi di Puskesmas Tangse Kabupaten Pidie.  Metode penelitian : penelitian ini bersifat analitik dengan desain penelitian cross sectional  dengan jumlah sampel  30 responden yang dilakukan pada tanggal 22 April s/d 7 Mei 2024. Hasil penelitian : uji chi-square ada hubungan faktor keluarga terhadap kecemasan anak pada tindakan perawatan gigi di Puskesmas Tangse Kabupaten Pidie (p- value =0,015.). Ada hubungan faktor alat perawatan gigi terhadap kecemasan anak pada tindakan perawatan gigi di Puskesmas Tangse Kabupaten Pidie (p- value =0,001.). Kesimpulan dan Saran : Disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan faktor keluarga dan faktor alat perawatan gigi terhadap kecemasan anak pada  perawatan gigi di Puskesmas Tangse Kabupaten Pidie. Disarankan kepada pihak orang tua agar dapat memberikan pemahaman tentang perawatan gigi dengan menumbuhkan keberanian dan memotivasi anak agar mau menjalani perawatan gigi serta mengurangi ancaman dengan memaksakan anak untuk menerima perawatan.Kata kunci : kecemasan anak, keberhasilan perawatan gigiBackground: Anxiety is a normal emotional response in children when faced with things considered dangerous. Anxiety affects children's dental care, so anxious children tend to have poorer dental health. Initial observations at the Tangse Community Health Center included 12 children undergoing dental treatment, 9 children experienced anxiety such as crying hysterically and resisting when treatment was carried out and 3 children were able to cooperate so that dental treatment was carried out. Objective: To determine the relationship between family factors and dental care equipment factors on children's anxiety regarding dental care at the Tangse Health Center, Pidie Regency.  Research method: this research is analytical with a cross sectional research design with a sample size of 30 respondents conducted from April 22 to May 7 2024. Research results: chi-square test shows a relationship between family factors and children's anxiety during dental care procedures at the Community Health Center Tangse, Pidie Regency (p-value = 0.015.). There is a relationship between dental care equipment factors and children's anxiety during dental care procedures at the Tangse Health Center, Pidie Regency (p-value = 0.001). Conclusions and Suggestions: It is concluded that there is a relationship between family factors and dental care equipment factors on children's anxiety about dental care at the Tangse Community Health Center, Pidie Regency. It is recommended that parents provide an understanding of dental care by growing courage and motivating children to want to undergo dental treatment and reducing threats by forcing children to receive treatment.Keywords: child anxiety, successful dental treatment
