<![CDATA[Economic growth and environmental sustainability are challenges facing modern society. Environmentally based education (Green Education) needs to be implemented to build an attitude of caring for the environment, as well as prepare students to face future challenges, namely by turning students into citizens who can utilize natural resources wisely in economic activities without causing environmental problems. The type of data from this research is qualitative data using the literature study method. The research results show that instilling green education in students aims to develop and train students to be able to care for and protect the environment from an early age. Schools have an important role in supporting the implementation of green education by integrating it into the curriculum, establishing a sustainable lifestyle, increasing awareness about the environment, and developing collaboration with the government and business actors. Green education is expected to be an effort to prepare students for a green economy, namely by changing behavior, honing skills and environmentally friendly entrepreneurship.]]>
