<![CDATA[Abstract This study to determine the correlation between parenting styles and scouting education with student character. This research uses an ex-post facto study with quantitative approach using a correlational method which carried out in class V Elementary School number 02 Sintang. The number of samples were 35 students. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire instrument. Determination of the correlation between parenting styles and scouting education with student character using the calculation of the correlation between variables and the simultaneous correlation together using multiple correlation. Results of the research on the correlation between parenting styles and student character showed that the results of rcount 0.603> rtable 0.334 were categorized as strong and contributed 29,6%, the correlation between scouting education and student character showed that the results of rcount 0.516> rtable 0.334 were categorized as sufficient and contributed 18,9%, the simultaneus correlation between parenting style and scouting education with students character showed that the results of rcount 0.697> rtable 0.334 were categorized as strong and had a combined contribution of 48,5%. So it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between parenting styles and scouting education with students character at Sintang City Elementary School.
