<![CDATA[The title of this research is “the role of housewives in an effort to help husband in the welfare of the family in meeting development needs so that their household leads to a prosperous family. The research method used is qualitative using a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis in this study was presented descriptively using 2 informants, namely wives who played a dual role. The results of this study show that the dual role of housewives is very important in supporting the family’s economic situation in an effort to prosper the family situation. Meanwhile, the role of mothers as employees and farmers is a job oppurtunity that is in accordance with the abilities and education of the housewife. By working, the housewife will get an income where the income can be used to meet household needs and help her husband’s economy which is still experiencing inequality. The involvement of housewivies in the world of work can help overcome family inequality in terms of meeting development needs so that their families can be said to be prosperous families in terms of the economy.]]>
