<![CDATA[The natural disaster event of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi has consistently attracted media attention and has received significant coverage over the past month. Due to its substantial impact, the disaster event is considered to have high news value and is deemed worthy of being conveyed to the public. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with Miles & Huberman's analysis. The purpose of this study is to examine how TribunFlores.com and Kompas.com frame the news coverage of the Lewotobi volcanic eruption using Robert Entman's framing analysis. The research object is the news articles related to the natural disaster event published in these media outlets. The results of the analysis regarding the application of Robert Entman's framing theory in the news coverage of the Lewotobi volcanic eruption on the online media TribunFlores.com and Kompas.com on November 4, 2024, show a significant difference between the two media outlets in how they framed the news. This difference lies in their focus on mitigation efforts and the solutions presented. Kompas.com tends to emphasize solutions and mitigation efforts, whereas TribunFlores.com focuses more on the suffering and conditions of the victims. ABSTRAKPeristiwa bencana alam letusan Gunung Lewotobi selalu menarik perhatian media dan mendapat pemberitaan signifikan selama sebulan terakhir. Karena dampaknya yang cukup besar, peristiwa bencana tersebut dinilai mempunyai nilai berita yang tinggi dan dinilai layak untuk disampaikan kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis Miles & Huberman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana TribunFlores.com dan Kompas.com membingkai pemberitaan letusan gunung berapi Lewotobi dengan menggunakan analisis framing Robert Entman. Objek penelitiannya adalah artikel-artikel berita terkait peristiwa bencana alam yang dimuat di media-media tersebut. Hasil analisis penerapan teori framing Robert Entman dalam pemberitaan letusan gunung berapi Lewotobi di media online TribunFlores.com dan Kompas.com pada 4 November 2024 menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua media tersebut dalam hal bagaimana mereka membingkai berita itu. Perbedaan ini terletak pada fokus mereka pada upaya mitigasi dan solusi yang disampaikan. Kompas.com cenderung menekankan pada solusi dan upaya mitigasi, sedangkan TribunFlores.com lebih fokus pada penderitaan dan kondisi para korban.]]>
