Abstract

Curriculum management creates an effective learning process so that the educational goals that have been set, both philosophical, curricular, institutional, and instructional goals can be achieved effectively and efficiently. The purpose of this study was to determine curriculum management at Al Abidin Islamic Junior High School Surakarta. This research is descriptive qualitative through interviews and observations. The results of this study reveal that the implementation of the curriculum is carried out two curricula simultaneously, namely the independent curriculum from the government and the Cambridge curriculum which is an international curriculum, the implementation of these two curricula for grade 7 uses the international curriculum, namely the Cambridge International Curriculum Examination, while grades 8 and 9 use the independent curriculum. There are also excellent programs, namely ICP (International Class Program) and TCP (Tahfidz Class Program). For the ICP flagship program by combining the independent curriculum with the Cambridge curriculum. And curriculum evaluation is carried out, so that it can be seen the level of teacher performance in carrying out their duties and ensuring student success in learning so that learning can run according to plan. ABSTRAKPengelolaan kurikulum menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang efektif sehingga tujuan pendidikan yang telah ditetapkan, baik tujuan filosofis, kurikuler, kelembagaan, maupun tujuan instruksional dapat tercapai secara efektif dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen kurikulum di SMP Islam Al Abidin Surakarta. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum dilakukan dua kurikulum secara bersamaan yaitu kurikulum independen dari pemerintah dan kurikulum Cambridge yang merupakan kurikulum internasional, penerapan kedua kurikulum ini untuk kelas 7 menggunakan kurikulum internasional, yaitu Ujian Kurikulum Internasional Cambridge, sedangkan kelas 8 dan 9 menggunakan kurikulum mandiri. Ada juga program unggulannya yaitu ICP (International Class Program) dan TCP (Tahfidz Class Program). Untuk program unggulan ICP dengan menggabungkan kurikulum independen dengan kurikulum Cambridge. Dan dilakukan evaluasi kurikulum, sehingga dapat diketahui tingkat kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya dan menjamin keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar sehingga pembelajaran dapat berjalan sesuai rencana.
