<![CDATA[The purpose of writing this article is to discuss how to building student character or morals and teacher creativity in using environmental media in social studies learning as well as looking at the supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers in using the environment as a learning medium at SMA Negeri 2 Soyo Jaya, North Morowali. The environment as a learning medium can make it easier for teachers to convey material and can be easily understood by students because it is something that is familiar to students. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that the environment as a learning medium can shape students' character or morals well, students can learn from the surrounding environment directly so that students can do positive things in the community environment, students can easily understand the material being taught because the environment is something that is not unfamiliar to students. Supporting and inhibiting factors in forming student character are influenced by two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Based on research results, the environment as a learning medium benefits teachers and students, students can easily understand the material and teachers can also easily explain the material ]]>
