<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the effect of the Speed Reading teaching method on elementary school students' reading ability and critical thinking skills. The research method used is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of the study consists of 5th and 6th-grade students at SD Negeri 6 Citradamai, with a total sample of 59 students divided into an experimental group and a control group. The results show that the Speed Reading method is effective in improving students' speed reading ability and critical thinking skills. This is evidenced by the Mann-Whitney test significance value (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.005 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the Speed Reading method not only enhances reading speed but also helps students analyze and evaluate information more critically.]]>
