Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the head of the madrasa in cultivating the culture of performing Dhuha prayer in congregation at RA Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti. Congregational Dhuha prayer is considered an effective way to shape students' character and discipline, as well as to strengthen their spiritual dimension. The focus of this research is how the head of the madrasa leads and motivates the entire madrasa community to participate in Dhuha prayer activities in congregation, and its impact on students' character. The research method used is a qualitative approach with direct observation, interviews with the head of the madrasa, teachers, and students, as well as documentation of madrasa activities. The findings show that the head of the madrasa, who sets an example by performing Dhuha prayer in congregation, has a significant influence in creating a strong religious culture within the madrasa. In addition, there are challenges such as time limitations and student absenteeism, which need to be addressed through careful planning. The conclusion of this study is that the role of the head of the madrasa as an inspirational leader is crucial in the success of cultivating congregational Dhuha prayer, which in turn contributes to the development of students' character, discipline, and noble morals. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran kepala madrasah dalam membudayakan shalat Dhuha berjamaah di RA Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti. Shalat Dhuha berjamaah dianggap sebagai salah satu cara efektif dalam membentuk karakter dan kedisiplinan siswa, serta memperkuat dimensi spiritual mereka. Fokus masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kepala madrasah memimpin dan memotivasi seluruh civitas madrasah untuk berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan shalat Dhuha berjamaah, serta dampaknya terhadap karakter siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan observasi langsung, wawancara dengan kepala madrasah, guru, dan siswa, serta dokumentasi kegiatan madrasah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala madrasah yang menjadi teladan dalam pelaksanaan shalat Dhuha berjamaah memiliki pengaruh besar dalam menciptakan budaya keagamaan di madrasah. Selain itu, terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan waktu dan ketidakhadiran siswa yang perlu diatasi melalui perencanaan yang matang. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa peran kepala madrasah sebagai pemimpin yang inspiratif sangat penting dalam keberhasilan pembudayaan shalat Dhuha berjamaah, yang pada gilirannya berkontribusi pada pembentukan karakter siswa yang disiplin dan berakhlak mulia.
