<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of work environment and leadership on employee performance and job satisfaction and the role of job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research uses quantitative methods. The population and sample in this study were 115 ASNs in the Regional Secretariat of Batanghari Regency. The sampling technique used non probability sampling and data collection techniques using interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. Descriptive data analysis using SPSS 24 software and model structure using SmartPLS 3.0. The results showed (1) work environment has a significant effect on employee performance, (2) work environment has a significant effect on job satisfaction, (3) leadership has a significant effect on employee performance, (4) leadership has a significant effect on job satisfaction, (5) job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance, (6) job satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between work environment and employee performance, (7) job satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between leadership and employee performance.]]>
