Abstract

ABSTRACT  Kampung Kuma, Tabukan Tengah sub-district, has great potential in the fisheries sector, but faces challenges in the form of high fish feed costs which reach 60-70% of total production costs. This community service activity aims to increase the productivity of farmer groups through training in fermented vegetable feed making technology. Activity methods include needs identification, counseling, practical training, and monitoring and evaluation. The training taught participants how to utilize local raw materials, such as Lemna minor, using fermentation technology to increase the nutritional value and digestibility of feed. The results showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of participants, who are now able to produce fermented feed independently. In addition, the training successfully motivated participants to apply fermentation technology sustainably, reduce dependence on commercial feed, and create efficiency in fish farming. This activity is expected to be an economical and sustainable solution to support the sustainability of fish farming businesses in Kampung Kuma.  Keywords: Feed; Fermentation; Lemna minor; Nutritional value; Vegetable;   ABSTRAK  Kampung Kuma, Kecamatan Tabukan Tengah, memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor perikanan, namun menghadapi tantangan berupa tingginya biaya pakan ikan yang mencapai 60-70% dari total biaya produksi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kelompok pembudidaya melalui pelatihan teknologi pembuatan pakan nabati fermentasi. Metode kegiatan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, penyuluhan, pelatihan praktis, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Pelatihan ini mengajarkan peserta cara memanfaatkan bahan baku lokal, seperti lemna minor, menggunakan teknologi fermentasi untuk meningkatkan nilai gizi dan kecernaan pakan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, yang kini mampu memproduksi pakan fermentasi secara mandiri. Selain itu, pelatihan ini berhasil memotivasi peserta untuk menerapkan teknologi fermentasi secara berkelanjutan, mengurangi ketergantungan pada pakan komersial, dan menciptakan efisiensi dalam budidaya ikan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi solusi yang ekonomis dan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan usaha budidaya ikan di Kampung Kuma.
