This initiative aimed to empower older adults by enhancing their understanding of the risks, symptoms, and prevention strategies for hypertension. Utilizing a communication, information, and education (IEC) approach, we facilitated engaging lectures and interactive discussions that encouraged active participation. A total of 60 older adults took part in the program. To assess its effectiveness, we administered questionnaires before and after the sessions to measure changes in knowledge. The findings revealed a remarkable increase in understanding, with knowledge levels rising from 40% to 81.7% following the education. Furthermore, participants demonstrated a strong enthusiasm for the material, indicating their commitment to learning. With this newfound knowledge, we anticipate that the elderly will be better prepared to manage hypertension, ultimately reducing their risk of complications and enhancing their quality of life.
