The Malangan language is a medium of communication that is still popular today. The main speakers who usually use the Malangan language are the young people of Malang to interact with their close colleagues. In addition, the Malangan language is often accompanied by harsh and excessive verbal language in the form of swearing, cursing, and cursing. This study aims to identify some of the characteristics of the banter speech in the Malangan language used by speakers. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The data used in this research are words, phrases, and sentences. The source of this research comes from informants consisting of 5 men who have known each other. The data collection techniques used are tapping, listening, and recording techniques. The technique of analysis in the study uses lexical techniques by considering the background context of the informants. The results obtained in the study of swear words in the Malangan language describe the form of speech in the form of noun base words as an expression of swear words by providing differences in terms of word order. One of the results found with the example of the vocabulary memek means vagina, then changed by reversing the last letter to the front. Thus, changing the arrangement of letters in the nominative base word to kemem. The conclusion is that swear words in the Malangan language are an emotional form, as well as humorous language by adding the characteristics of the Malangan language which often changes the word order.
